Step into the world of Pilates with confidence. In this block, you'll explore the essential principles of human movement and how they come to life through the Pilates Mat repertoire. We'll break down the anatomy behind each motion and give you the tools to start teaching with clarity, intention, and purpose. Whether you're brand new or deepening your practice, you'll begin to recognize how these foundational principles show up in every exercise—and how to bring them to life for others.
-
Get ready to dive deeper. In this block, we explore the spine and torso more intricately—uncovering how they connect with the upper and lower limbs through key structural anchors like the shoulder girdle and pelvis. You’ll begin learning most of the Reformer repertoire here, discovering how thoughtful movement sequencing and anatomical awareness elevate your practice and teaching.
-
This is where it all starts to click. Building on Block 2, you’ll take on more complex Reformer sequences and get hands-on with Arcs and Barrels—learning how to use them creatively in both Mat and Reformer group settings. We’ll weave together anatomy, cueing, and programming so you can design impactful, intelligent classes. With personalized feedback and support from your teachers, you’ll fine-tune your voice and teaching style, gaining the skills and confidence to lead with ease. Complete this block to earn your Mat & Reformer certification or continue on to pursue the full Comprehensive Certification.
-
Movement isn’t one-size-fits-all. In this block, you’ll deepen your anatomy knowledge with a focus on common pathologies and conditions affecting the pelvis, neck, jaw, and limbs. You’ll learn how to support clients through thoughtful modifications and targeted repertoire. This is also where you’ll get introduced to the dynamic Wunda Chair and expand your Arc and Barrel toolkit with intermediate-level variations—equipping you to teach with greater versatility and care.
-
In Block 5, you’ll explore the art of breath and its profound impact on movement. You’ll learn the Trapeze Table repertoire in detail, discovering how it complements and enhances the other apparatus work. Expect to leave with a new appreciation for the breath-body connection—and the ability to teach from a place of grounded awareness.
-
This is your final lap—and your launch pad. Block 6 brings everything together: anatomy, repertoire, cueing, and programming. With an emphasis on integration, you’ll refine your ability to design and deliver thoughtful, effective classes. By the end, you’ll feel fully equipped to step into the studio as a confident, capable teacher—ready to lead with clarity, compassion, and purpose.
